How does the website of the Parkhotel work?

Please read through these conditions carefully before you book a room via the Parkhotel website. They notify you of your rights and obligations when using this website.

1. Reservations

With a direct online reservation, you are immediately sure that the room(s) stated as being available on the Parkhotel website is (are) actually still free. To reserve the room(s) you want, you must complete the reservation form in full. You then come to the confirmation page, which provides you with an overview of your reservation. If the data on this overview is correct and you wish to reserve the room, you click on "confirm". The room(s) is (are) reserved for you and this reservation is also binding. You receive a confirmation by e-mail with a reservation number.

You can enter preferences when making your reservation, but the Parkhotel cannot guarantee these will be catered for.

2. Prices, payment and guarantee

On the basis of the criteria you fill in and the period you select, the website searches for all available rooms that are free during the period and which fulfil your criteria.

2.1. Prices

All prices stated in on the website are expressed in euros and include service and VAT. Use of the Parkhotel website is completely free for all visitors who are reserving a hotel room. Moreover, the Parkhotel does not charge additional reservation costs under any circumstances.

All prices apply per room and per night.

2.2. Payment

You pay the total amount of your reservation directly to the hotel via the method of payment and facilities specified by the hotel. Payment must at latest occur upon check-out,

2.3. Guarantee

Each reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card number. You also fill in this data on the reservation form. Your credit card data is solely used as a guarantee and not for payment by the hotel under any circumstances. The credit card data will solely be used by the hotel to offset costs if you do not comply with the cancellation conditions on cancellation or if you do not show up. The relevant hotel's cancellation conditions are always stated at each reservation via the Parkhotel website and it is therefore assumed that they are known by the user.

The credit card number stated by the user must match a credit card that is explicitly part of the user's property or the user is legally authorised to use.

3. Security

To create a safe connection between your web browser and the website, Parkhotel uses the quality label produced by Verisign, a reputed company in the Internet security domain. All data that you sent to generate reservations is encrypted via the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) coding technology. This is the international standard for safe transactions on the Internet. This means that your data cannot be intercepted or used for other purposes than the transaction you desire. The icon (usually a closed padlock) at the bottom of your browser screen indicates that you are located in a secure environment.

4. Cancellation and modification

To avoid misunderstandings, all cancellations and modifications must always be made via the Parkhotel website. We also advise you to cancel and/or change your reservations on time if necessary.

4.1. Cancellation

To cancel your reservation you must click on "My reservation" at the top of the homepage and fill in the confirmation number you received and your e-mail address in the specified fields. Once the reservation is cancelled, you receive a confirmation via e-mail which contains a cancellation number. This cancellation number acts as proof of your cancellation in the event of a dispute. Without a written confirmation of cancellation you do not have any valid proof if cancellation costs arise. These cancellation costs can be charged to you in compliance with the hotels cancellation conditions, if you did not cancel on time. The cancellation conditions for each reservation are stated on the confirmation form and are also found in the confirmation mail sent to you after reservation.

4.2. Modification

To alter your reservation you must click on "My reservation" and fill in the confirmation number you received and your e-mail address in the specified fields. You will then see a summary of your reservation, accompanied by a field in which you can write down the change in your reservation. Depending on the cancellation conditions and the availability of the requested rooms, the Parkhotel will notify you whether the changes can be made or not within 24 hours (during office hours). In compliance with the hotel's cancellation conditions, the hotel can charge costs for implementing the changes. The cancellation conditions are stated on the reservation form at each reservation and are also found in the confirmation mail sent to you after reservation. The cancellation conditions differ from hotel to hotel and are determined by the relevant hotel itself.

4.3. Cancellation conditions and cost

If you cancel or change a reservation, the hotel can charge you cancellation costs. The cancellation conditions are stated at each reservation on the reservation form and can also be found in the confirmation mail sent to you after reservation. The possible costs payable will be charged via the credit card number which you have stated.

4.4. No show

If you did not cancel or modify your reservation and still do not show up, you will always owe the full cost of the first night at minimum. This cost can be increased in accordance with the relevant hotel's cancellation conditions. The credit card number you state will be used to offset the costs.

5. Privacy

In the framework of the Law on Protection of Private Data Parkhotel does everything possible to safeguard the privacy of the visitors to the website and we treat all personal data with the greatest care and confidentiality.

The personal details which the Parkhotel collects are not notified to, shared with, sold or handed over to third parties who are not involved with the Parkhotel.

6. Intellectual rights

Parkhotel is the owner or licence holder of all copyright, data files, applications, brands and other intellectual rights which comprise a part of the Parkhotel website. The concept, structure, layout and design are the exclusive property of hotel Parkhotel

You are entitled to use the website in accordance with these general conditions. You must obtain written approval from the Parkhotel before using the website or parts of it for applications or purposes unknown to the Parkhotel,

7. Courts and applicable law

Any dispute that may arise between the parties due to the drawing up, execution or interpretation of these conditions shall come exclusively under the competence of the Veurne courts. The parties explicitly agree that these conditions are governed by Belgian law.
