The Parkhotel is situated in the prestigious Dumont Quarter.  This neighbourhood was build a 100 years ago in the typical English cottage style.  From the twenties, modernist villas were added.
The Zeelaan and Duinkerkelaan offer nice boutiques.  Cultural center De Scharbiellie exhibits exotic art work and objects.

But De Panne s main attraction are it’s beautiful sandy beaches.  The stretched beach is ideal for sunbathing, swimming and building sandcastles.  You’ll find solitude or a place for kiting, wandering a bit from the city center.

The natural surroundings of De Panne are magnificent, it’s dunes offering a wide variety of fauna and flora.  Enjoy the fresh air while walking, running, (mountain)biking, or on the back of a horse.

• The ‘Westhoek’ is Belgiums largest dune landscape, hosting 1/3 of Flanders plant species.
• The ‘Oosthoekduinen’ is a small natural park, offering a rich variety of dunes and forest, … and Scottish highlandcows.
• The ‘Houtsaegerduinen’ and ‘Kerkepannebos’ offer a dry dune landscape with numerous rare plant species.
• The ‘Calmeynbos’ is a forest, which can be explored on foot, mountain bike or horseback.
